-
- You seem to be interpreting the Winsock spec fine - what you describe is
- what _should_ be happening. I haven't tried the MS 32-bit TCP/IP,
- but I was bitten by a bug in the previous TSR-based TCP/IP where there was
- no initial FD_WRITE sent at the beginning of the connection - which made
- it kinda hard to get started !
- Anyone else using async. select over MS 32-bit beta?

- Hm. Please excuse part of this, I did this to test and see if I had posting
- capability. It seems as though I do! Right now I'm using QVT to post news, are
- there any other decent NNTP readers for Winsock? I have checked at several diff.
- ftp sites, but couldn't find one. Also, the three mail packages I've found for
- Winsock are: Eudora, WinElm, and QVT. Someone mentioned Pegasus, but I'm not sure
- where to get it, and not only that, is it worth it?

- As you can see, I am using version 0.91.3 and it is posting a followup message just fine.
- Maybe if you would give more details, someone could help you understand what the problem is.

- Subject: help with packet driver
-
- I'm logging onto the Net via modem, phone line, and my alma mater's UNIX
- critter. I don't use a network card of any type. When I try to load
- any WinSock stuff, it wants a packet driver loaded first. I dl'd a file
- of packet drivers, but don't know which to use, or how to set up any
- required parameters.
- Any suggestions? I'm on a 386/40, with a 2400 baud modem. And Windows
- 3.1.
